Welcome to the GTP February 2013
"Humanity and Conflict Resolution"
Learning Circle
Human beings have always sought to live together in harmonious groupings where they feel safe, secure, valued and productive. Human beings create cultures where they share common values traditions and goals. In our past and still today in 2013, humankind see conflicting values within the varied and multiple cultures on our planet. With the age of globalization, a shrinking world and communication at our fingertips which moves at light speed around the planet, should our values and beliefs still collide? Do we share common universal human values or a common humanity? Will we move, through peace and non violence, toward human development and survival and not human destruction?
To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity. Nelson Mandela

Supplementary News Week 11: 06-12 May 2013
|
|
Dear participants of the Humanity and Conflict Resolution LC,
We are posting this supplementary edition of the Learning Circle to remind you about the need to send your Goodbye letters for those who didn’t do it yet and completion of on line evaluation forms. As for now we miss Summaries from hc10 group and Good Bye messages from hc1, hc3, hc4, hc7, hc10 groups. Post them before the May 10, 2013.Messages which arrive after this date will not be ranked.
One more important task for this week is completing the Evaluation. A Learning Circle teacher and at least 5 students are expected to complete the on line evaluation forms before the May 10, 2013.
I will like to express my profoundest gratitude to teachers for the invaluable services you rendered to the students throughout the 10 week period. To your students I say well done! We are proud of you. Thanks for all your contribution during this Learning Circle.
