Welcome to the GTP February 2013

"Humanity and Conflict Resolution"

Learning Circle

Human beings have always sought to live together in harmonious groupings where they feel safe, secure, valued and productive. Human beings create cultures where they share common values traditions and goals. In our past and still today in 2013, humankind see conflicting values within the varied and multiple cultures on our planet. With the age of globalization, a shrinking world and communication at our fingertips which moves at light speed around the planet, should our values and beliefs still collide?  Do we share common universal human values or a common humanity? Will we move, through peace and non violence, toward human development and survival and not human destruction?

To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity.

News Phase 4: Research and Answers

Week 8: 08 April - 14 April 2013

News

Welcome to the "Humanity and Conflict Resolution" Wiki. Here, at the Frontpage of this Wiki, you find:

  • A Newsletter at the beginning of every Phase for the duration of this Learning Circle.
  • The Criteria for each Phase
  • An overview of the progress of the Learning Circle

We hope all is well when we are entering the 8th week of the Learning Circle. This is the last  week of 5 weeks of research.

Each Learning Circle class answers all the questions.

Students will come up with all sorts of creative ideas to answer the questions in the best and most complete possible way.

There is no need to wait with posting till the answers haven been completed; postings of you raw research findings,

and then processing that into the final answer is a nice way of following a circle process.

It is very important that all the schools fulfill their tasks in every phase and share this with the other schools in the LC. If not it will be very difficult to continue the LC and the other schools will feel very disappointed.
